If you're the parent of a neurodiverse child, then you already know how difficult it is to manage your stress while still having to parent 24/7—you don't get time off to figure things out!
You've done your best (yes, even on those days where it feels like your best isn't "best" enough). You have truly done your best.
But still, something tells you there must be an easier way to navigate this life.
Introducing the Mindful Village® Foundations Program: an 8 week program combining mindfulness, self-compassion, positive psychology, and tested neuroscience to teach you how to parent your neurodiverse child—with less stress, and more ease!
They say it takes a village to raise a child, we say it takes a mindful village!
By the end of this program, you will have learned...
How to skillfully manage challenging neurodiverse behaviors with calm and patience
The importance of self-compassion and how to apply it directly to your life
How to teach your children to ground themselves when they get overwhelmed
Techniques that result in fewer tantrums and give your children back some of the control missing from their lives
The concepts of mindful communication to allow both you and your neurodiverse child to really feel heard (strengthening your bond and deepening your relationship)
How to bring peace and tranquility back into your life and into your family!
You really offered a safe space for all of us...
"I honestly loved everything about this course. And at our first class the idea of just making meditation and mindfulness a daily practice no matter how short was transformative for me. I like incorporating meditation in my life, and struggled to always fit it in. Now I am meditating much more frequently and I am reaping the benefits. I love the compassionate way that you lead the class and discussion. Your heart and love just radiates from you, and it is felt by everybody. You really offered a safe space for all of us to discuss very deep and difficult topics. Rabia, You are very gifted at making people feel welcomed, included, and loved. Thank you for being a blessing in my life."

Meet Your Teacher
Hi there, friend!
My name is Rabia, and I'm a licensed psychologist (specializing in pediatric neuropsychology and autism), as well as a certified mindfulness teacher.
I'm also the proud parent of a child with autism!
You would think that having my academic background would make raising an autistic child an easy task, but like all parents of neurodiverse children, it had its challenges.
But overall, it was a pretty typical journey.... until the day I met the limits of my training.
In 2012, my family went through several major life changes (a divorce, multiple moves, changing schools, and to top it all off, puberty).
With all of that chaos hitting our lives, my son struggled.
Instead of a haven of peace, our house became a chaotic mess of shouting, tantrums, and difficult behavioral challenges which pushed us both to our edge.
Everything I had learned up until that point just wasn't enough anymore.
Not on its own.
And so, I started looking for answers elsewhere.
I underwent a deep personal journey—immersing myself in mindfulness and self-compassion teachings, and completing multiple spiritual retreats all around the world (Plum Village in France was the bucket list item!).
Through this journey, my life was altered in such a profound way that I knew I had to bring these teachings to other parents of neurodiverse children. So, I re-trained in several evidence-based programs (such as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction® and Mindful Self-Compassion®) and combined that with my psychology background to create an entirely new approach.
Incorporating the best of mindfulness, self-compassion, and positive psychology (all backed up with neuroscience), I was able to develop a comprehensive program that worked.
These teachings have changed my life.
And they have changed the lives of so many other families with neurodiverse kids.
Through this program, my hope is that you too will find peace and support as a parent of a neurodiverse child!

Learn the basic tenets of mindfulness and how you can easily incorporate it into your daily activities to bring you more peace, calm, and tranquility.
Module #2: The Stress of Parenting in Neurodiversity
Learn how the stresses of parenting our neurodiverse children wreak havoc on our bodies and how mindfulness and meditation can play a role in alleviating this tension. We will cover mindful movements in this module, as well.
Module #3: All About Compassionate and Positive Parenting
This module teaches you how the traits of empowering, nurturing, and providing emotional security, unconditional love, empathy, and compassion, all contribute to a warm, nurturing parental style.
Module #4: Self-Care (aka Recharging Your Soul Battery)
Learn about all the ways you can provide self-care while caring for your neurodiverse child. This includes self-compassion and practicing positive psychology. I love to use the oxygen mask analogy to show you how important it is for you to take care of yourself first. This also leads to more effective and mindful parenting.
Module #5: Mindful Communication: Transforming Your Parent-Child Interactions
In this module, we will be addressing parenting challenges in particular. You will be taught techniques to help you de-escalate the situation and use creative discipline which keeps your child calm. Watch the tantrums decrease markedly as you employ these techniques!
Module #6: Bringing it All Together
In this final module, we will combine all the techniques we've learned into a series of scenarios to teach you how to approach different situations as they occur. You will gain experience navigating the situations so you can take these ideas into the real world as they happen.
"I appreciate your authenticity and empathy. You were able to share personal experiences which allowed the class to get deeper into vulnerability. You also validated everyone's comments/participation by acknowledgment of their expressions and what they shared with the class. I thought the balance was great. We were never stagnant and there was an ease and flow to the session. You were present, connected and responsive. Thank you!
The perfect balance of kindness, compassion, humor and encouragement that helped make me feel at ease and able to easily participate..... This course felt like a gift, such unexpected openings and places to pause for a moment to allow the compassionate self love that I have been deeply seeking. perfectly timed and delivered. Rabia is an exceptional teacher who really imparts the teachings with such warmth, presence, gentle humor and deeply heartfelt delivery. I hope I can have further opportunities to join future gatherings!
When you enroll in this transformative program, you will get:
The Mindful Village® Foundations Program
(a $2500 Value)
- 6 x Digital Modules
After completing the eight weeks of this course, you will be able to skillfully navigate difficult challenges which may arise with your neurodiverse child, using mindfulness tips you've learned and practiced. Hopefully, you will also have your own daily mindfulness practice, as well.
- Mindful Techniques to Calm and De-stress
You've already figured out that parenting a neurodiverse child is no picnic! Now learn the techniques which will change you from a stressed-out parent to a calm, loving one. Yes it can be done!
- The Know-How to Self-Care
Hint: The first step to mindful parenting is to take care of yourself! Remember the oxygen mask requirement while flying??? It's there for a reason. If you can't take care of yourself first, you're not parenting at optimal levels. Let me teach you how to make the time and self-care while parenting!
- Tips For Mindful Communication
Communication is the root of all interactions which go wrong with our children — learn how to manage this successfully so you have pleasant conversations instead of screaming matches with your kiddos! We will also look at mindful discipline techniques.
- Compassionate and Positive Parenting
What would your life look like if your parenting interactions with your child were suffused with a warm glow of love and compassion? Think how much easier your life would be if instead of sullen glares you received warm hugs from your neurodiverse children! Of course, this isn't going to be every day (that would be a miracle indeed!)! But by practicing positive psychology practices and invoking compassion in your interventions, you are setting the stage for having more positive than negative parenting encounters. What is that worth to you?
- Resources Section
This is a special section inside your program which contains videos of different mindful movements you can watch such as yoga and qigong, as well as many different types of meditations.

To the Loving Parents/Caregivers Reading This...
Before you leave, I'd like to impart a few final words of encouragement.
As parents/caregivers of neurodiverse children, we are faced with so many issues that parents of neurotypical children cannot even begin to fathom.
In fact, sometimes we feel just as overwhelmed as our children!
I know I was.
You don't get to quit as a parent. You don't get to just put in the hours and leave all the stress behind.
It's with you 24/7.
And we love our beautiful babies so we will always make those sacrifices.
But it doesn't have to always be a "sacrifice"!
My life today is very different from what it was 8 years ago.
And I know it can be different for you, too.
That's why I created this program, to empower parents (just like you) to create a relationship with their child that's filled with more joy and less stress.
Because "different" doesn't always need to be challenging.
My fellow parents, I know how difficult and rewarding this journey can be.
And I know that, as parents, we don't always have the time or space to figure out how to effectively navigate those difficulties on our own.
And that's how this program came to be. You get to reap the reward of my decades of study and experience.
You don't have to struggle to find all the answers.
You can get them now.
But with that said, I know that this may not be the right time for you to join us. And that's okay!
My goal with creating the Mindful Village® Foundations program was to compile all the methods, tools, and resources any parent would need to create a more joyful relationship with his/her neurodiverse child.
But I also don't want to leave any parents behind.
We are in this together! And if you don't have the resources to invest in the Mindful Village® program at this time, I encourage you to please join our free private mindfulness group on Facebook.
We parents of neurodiverse children have a special bond because only we know what it's like.
All I want is the best for you and your beautiful children.
Remember: you are never alone on this path.
